About me

I'm Giang Nguyen (full name: Nguyen Hung Giang). I was born on November 11, 1988 (remember to send me birthday gifts). I'm currently haunting Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I'm currently studying Bachelor of Multimedia Design at RMIT University (almost graduating, anyway). When it comes to design, I'm a serious perfectionist who's in love with simplicity. My goal in design is to maintain balance between the conceptual meaning & visual aesthetic. At the moment, I'm working as a freelance designer & currently building a freelance team called MindFusion. The services I'm providing are: logo / brand identity design, graphic design & web design.

Superpowers

Of course I do have some superpowers. They are:

• good skills and knowledge in multimedia design & visual communications.
• good project planning skill & good capability of working in team.
• good cross-cultural communication skills, speak English fluently.

Technical skills

• For now: Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.
• Not-so-good: Flash, Actionscript 2.0, PHP, 3DS Max, Soundtrack Pro.
• Will learn: Actionscript 3.0, Cinema4D.

Things I Like

I enjoy staring at the computer monitor, playing video games, reading books, eating & of course, designing. When I'm not doing those things, I would be running around, being a jerk & disturbing anyone in sight. In short, a typical villain - which really suits my black-and-white-only style of clothing.
I love reading, discussing and writing about design. I like console RPG games but don't own any (I play via emulators). I like typically any kind of food and I love sushi, dimsum and addict to chocolate &. I listen to various genres of rock music, mostly alternative rock / metal & post-grunge.
